Engman is a web application where tech leaders keep 1:1s, feedback and career plans for the people they manage. This page explains what data Engman collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: hello@engmanapp.com.

Waitlist

The waitlist form on this site is a Google Form. It collects your email, name, role, team size and country. We use them only to contact you about Engman and to understand who is interested. Write to us and we delete your entry.

Accounts

Leaders sign in with Google or with email and password. With Google sign-in we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to create your account and identify you. The people a leader manages do not have accounts; the leader enters their information.

Google user data

Engman asks for each Google permission only when you turn on the feature that needs it, and you can revoke it at any time in your Google Account.

The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train or improve AI models. Google OAuth tokens are stored encrypted.

AI processing

Engman uses Google's Gemini models on Google Cloud Vertex AI to extract and summarize the documents you import and to prepare meeting agendas. Gemini returns proposals that you review and confirm; nothing is saved to a person's record without your confirmation. Google does not use this data to train its models. AI never rates, ranks or scores people.

Where data is stored

Engman runs on Google Cloud in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest; private notes are additionally encrypted with keys held in Google Cloud KMS. Imported original files are deleted once the import is settled, and at most 30 days after upload.

Who else processes data

Google Cloud hosts Engman and runs the AI models. An email provider sends the messages Engman sends on a leader's behalf, and a payment provider handles subscriptions. Each receives only what its job needs.
